Welcome to my little section of things I've made from Resin! Full disclosure I never print anything hollow. I just love the HEFT solid resin can give. If you head over to the "Meet the Team" you'll see what type of printers we have! Majority of things seen here were made using the Elegoo Jupiter printer.
Below are a few of the fails that have happened. Not everything is perfect and instantly a sucess. Sometimes you gotta fail a few times to truely find the magic.
This is a Vash statue from Trigun. I had to print it a total of 4 times before I got a sucessful print. It *has* been awhile since I had actually printed something so large. I did learn a lot however. For one thing, when you're printing with a more translucent resin you gotta let it cure longer in the bottom layers. Or else it'll start to peel off the build plate and result in a failure. Fourth time printed perfectly. However it left both divits and nubs when I removed the supports which has resulted in many hours of sanding. That's something I still need to play around with. With it burning in more on the bottom layers I might get away with less invasive and chonky supports.
This one was a really weird fail. Still not really sure what happened with it in all honesty. And I haven't had the time to go back and try again.
Try as I might his chest did NOT want to print properly. At all! Everything else printed flawlessly. Except this one.
Was working on a tile system for DnD maps. This one kept lifting up. It just...really did not want to print. I ended up printing in on filament instead.
