Named after Frumpkin, Caleb's familiar from Critical Role!
Names he's gone by:
-Frumpkin -Frumpy -Frump -Frumpalicious
-Frumpykins -Buddy -Child
I could go on and on and on about Frumpy. But truth is, he's my soul cat. When his time finally does come, I'll be an absolute mess. Pets are in our lives for such a short time. But they love us unconditionally. They leave us, too soon, so that we may rescue and love another animal in their place. It's the nature of life. But you only get one soul cat. It breaks my heart I only got to start my love for him when he was 12 in 2020. But it's better late than never. He will always be my baby.
I got Frumpkin when Covid hit in 2020. They decided to close the study he was a part of since they weren't getting any results. I no longer remember what the study was about. But something about a gene he carries can be passed onto a kitten and it might have been a diabetic study? Either way he was a juggalo! So he wasn't neutered until he was 12! I will forever be grateful for my manager because she was 100% the reason I got to take Frumpkin home! His original name was Lazlo. But since he was getting a new lease on life he needed a new name! Our vet is even shocked that Frump is reaching close to 17 now in 2025! He's got a whole two story house to run around in. And a kitten now who keeps him on his toes!
Currently he's got Hyperthyroid, which we treat with meds twice a day. So here's to many more years with him!
Enjoy the photo dump! I had tooooo many to choose from!
God I love this cat. He's my special little boy. I adopted him in 2020 from the lab I used to work for. It was time for him to retire. He was 12 at the time. Now, in 2024 he's 16! And most people can't even tell he's that old! Here's to another 10 years with him! His favorite thing to do is come and cuddle with me while I'm on the couch.
I'm not joking when I say he's my soul cat. He comes and sits near or on my head when I have a migraine. To purr away the pain and to keep me warm. He's adorable as hell and I love him to bits. He's too cute!
He just HAD to lay on top of all my art tarps. Honestly, this cat LOVES his bucket full of weird as hell bags. So who am I to judge? Flip through them all to see how much he loves that bucket, or his cat tree.
He just loves the Sun. And who can blame him?
With a heavy heart as of Oct 25, 2025 she is no longer with us. Her passing was out of no where and traumatic. It confirmed a suspicion however. I believe that her episode she had when she was young was in fact a seizure. On the Thursday before the 25th, she had a massive seizure and we took her to the vet. It was...heart wrenching. She seemed to come out of it though. The Vet noticed a heart arrhythmia next to her heart murmur and we were going to get an echo for her. But she deemed her not needing seizure medication. Friday night she slept on my chest instead of directly next to me. She normally didn't do that because I move around too much. But maybe she knew. Saturday morning she had three more back to back and at the end, she was gone. I miss her dearly. She was well loved and her life expectancy was always going to be short. But we gave her the best life we could. I miss her every day and carry some of her ashes and fur next to my Gray Warden vial.
I'm rewriting Epona's story. With new information we know why she acted like she did.
We got Epona when she was a year old back in 2021. She was born fully blind. After a trip to the Eye doctor we discovered her left optic nerve was never developed and the right optic nerve only developed about 5%. So there was no sickness to heal and hope she would see again. She was born into a world that was void and dark.
But, really, she didn't know she was different or that she was supposed to see! About half a year after getting her, maybe a whole year? She had a siezure that affected her brain enough to essentially rewrite her personality. Before that, she was brave, adventurous. She would jump onto areas and figure out her way down. She killed a fly out of the air where Frumpkin was failing to do so. But after she became a shell, scared of her own foot steps.
But then a year later, she was improving. She was exploring. Repetition became her best friend. Her safe spot was our closet, then the hallway.
Then at the end of 2024, something increadible happened. She started to jump onto the bed and decided sleeping tucked up into my hip was the best place to sleep. She started joining me every single night. She would purr. She would play with strings. She started coming into the loft and jumping up into his lap and *demand* to sit in Scott's face. By June of 2025, she was coming down into the kitchen to see us! By herself! She started coming down and explore.
It's never enough time. She was such a good soul. I know she knew we loved her.
Our Little Potato.
She was born in a horse barn so she was named Epona. As the big nerds we are, we kept the name. She was the runt of the group and as such, quirky and weirdly shaped. She was perfect.
AKA Crow from Destiny 2
He was born around June 2024. He's the baby of the group.
Names He's Been Called:
-Crowcefer -CHILD (when he's misbehaving)
-Uldren (when he's misbehaving)
-Baby
Crow is very expressive. He's also very VERY talkative! Like really talkative. We are still trying to get used to that! Epona doesn't meow often and when Frump does it's very raspy and "old man" sounding. I always think Frump is hurt! But Crow... Crow will have full conversations with us! He follows us around the house and is so cuddly! He also gets into *everything.* This child is nothing more than a furry toddler! We've had to childproof our house! We love him to death. But BOY is he a mischievous child!
This cat is just so funny. He seems to really like watching us play games.
He used to be so TINY. Now he's grown up to be a huge cat! I can't believe how little he used to be!
Seriously. How is he so big? I gotta start watching his food intake before he get's bigger! He doesn't scarf his food so I'm not sure how he's so big! To be fair, his personality is also HUGE
